An update on why I haven't sent one of these out in a while

Wow, it’s been a minute since I sent one of these. It’s not because I stopped writing. Quite the contrary. In mid-March, Media Matters hired me as a senior writer, which has kept me busy these last two+ months and has crowded out any time for additional political writing. That’s likely to be the case for the foreseeable future, so I’m putting this project on an indefinite pause, for now at least.

If I end up writing for other outlets I may send out the occasional self-promotional blast from here, but those will be few and far between. I put the auto-donations on pause too, so you won’t be getting any bills from me.

I don’t want to get all sappy and whatnot, so I’ll just briefly say that I really appreciate everyone who read, shared, and donated to this short but very fulfilling project. Being unemployed for even a few months in the United States can be pretty terrifying, and having a little extra income and an outlet for writing made a huge difference for me.
